(This was assigned reading near the end of the doctoral program; it would have been much more helpful early in the program).One thing I was surprised and disappointed about was the poor writing skills of some of the contributing authors. The primary authors/editors should have caught many of the grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors, but it seems like they left the proofreading to us poor students who are forced to read the book.By the way, it seemed a bit unethical to have one of the contributing authors make this book required reading for their own course. That professor did state this book is required reading for Harvard doctoral students, though. This book gives clear guidelines for moving through the challenging process of completing a doctoral dissertation. Each chapter is written by subject area experts with years of experience.
